Robert, Christa, & Deng Bolt chose E. R. James to build their beautiful new home in Anets Woods and have been living there since April of this year. We reached out to the Bolt family a few months later to ask for their candid feedback on the entire process.
We had our fourth closing at Anets Woods in Northbrook on Friday and the fifth closing is scheduled for next Tuesday. It’s exciting to see the families move in and the development taking shape. Check out the view from the loft. It’s pretty impressive if we say so ourselves.

While it’s exciting to see a home be built from the ground up, millwork details add personalized touches that make your house feel like a home. Here are a few details that Anets Homeowners have added.
The conservation area at Anets Woods provides a tranquil area for residents to be one with nature and enjoy a quiet, shady spot. With the stretch of good weather we have had the landscape is in full bloom.
Two residents have already closed and moved in and many more homes and nearing completion. Landscaping around the conservation area has been installed and metal benches welcome residents to the area. This area features a bolder retaining wall that looks like it’s always been there. The boulders match the color of the Pennsylvania stacked stone used on all the homes at Anets Woods. The semi-circular stacked stone seat wall and firepit are also nearly complete. Soon residents will gather to enjoin some time around the fire.
The large central pond, surrounded by lush planting beds, is taking shape. On crisp spring and fall evenings, owners will gather and bask in the glow of the fire pit faced with the same Pennsylvania field stone used throughout the community. The stacked stone seat wall surrounding the firepit is a perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine or unwind. Landscaping is important to us and we believe this attention to detail sets us apart from the rest.
